Therapy for young adults and new moms

MARAH PINNOLIS, LICSW, MED, PMH-C

Hi, I’m Marah.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Counselor. I see clients individually for therapy in Arlington, MA, and online for clients living in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and Washington DC.

My hope is that in working together, you’ll feel understood and supported. You don’t have to hold it all on your own — I’m here to help.

Who I work with

Most of my clients come to me for one of three reasons:

Perinatal mental health. Pregnancy, postpartum, the early years of motherhood. Read more →

Anxiety. Generalized anxiety, perfectionism, health & body anxiety, the patterns of overthinking and over-controlling that anxiety often hides inside. Read more →

Life transitions. New parenthood, career shifts, the time after college, relationship changes, the in-between work of figuring out who you're becoming. Read more →

How I work

I am a holistic therapist and I draw from several frameworks — relational, attachment-based, psychodynamic, somatic, mindfulness-based, and CBT.

I meet you with openness, kindness, and real-life understanding — helping you recognize your strengths, feel more confident in your decisions, and gain trust in who you are.

My sessions are 50 minutes. Most clients come weekly to start, and we’ll talk about what frequency makes the most sense as we go.

I'm based in Arlington, MA — my office is on the second floor of 635 Massachusetts Ave, right next to Tatte. I also see clients online who live in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, or Washington DC.

Rates and insurance

My rate is $250 for a 50-minute session. I'm an out-of-network provider, which means I don't bill insurance directly, but most PPO plans offer some reimbursement for out-of-network mental health care. After each session, I provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance.

A community for new moms

I'm also the founder of Beehive Moms, a community for new moms in Arlington and Greater Boston. Some clients work with me individually, attend a Beehive Moms group, or both — depending on what kind of support they're looking for.

Let’s talk

The best way to figure out whether we'd be a good fit is a short conversation. I offer a free 15-minute consultation call.
